CHAIRPERSON

Margaret O’Sullivan is Chairperson of The Kabin Studio and Director of Quality Development, Research and Learning at Music Generation’s National Development Office, with over 30 years of experience in arts education and cultural management focused on youth voice, inclusion, and high-quality music education.

SECRETARY

Joe Curtin is Secretary of The Kabin Studio, a youth and community worker, and Coordinator of The Hut UBU project in Gurranabraher with CDYS Youth Work Ireland, where he has worked for over 10 years. He holds an honours degree in Community Development from MTU and a postgraduate diploma in Youth Work from UCC, and is deeply committed to supporting young people through music, creativity, and community initiatives.

TREASURER

Claire Layton is Treasurer of The Kabin Studio and Music Development Officer with Music Generation Cork City, with extensive experience in arts management, festivals, and creative production. She is passionate about music education and creating accessible opportunities for all, alongside her ongoing love of languages and community arts.

BOARD MEMBER

Denis Barrett is a Board Member of The Kabin Studio and Cork UNESCO Learning City Co-ordinator with Cork City Council, working in partnership with key education and community organisations to promote lifelong learning for all. He has held a wide range of roles across formal, non-formal, and community education, and has led numerous city-wide initiatives supporting inclusion, collaboration, and access to learning.

BOARD MEMBER

Brian Cullen is a Board Member of The Kabin Studio, a retired youth worker with over 35 years of experience supporting young people across Cork City, and a lifelong member of the Knocknaheeny community. Deeply involved in local initiatives and organisations, he brings a strong commitment to youth development, with a personal connection to Kabin through his grandchildren who are active members.
